Eminem used his verse on “The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady” as a platform to once again address issues of social injustice.

Marshall finished his contribution to Kid Cudi’s song with a direct message about police brutality, saying names of its victims, two of many that sparked the social movement across the United States.

He talks about George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery and echoes the sentiment that Dr. Dre expressed earlier this year: this policeman’s knee was on the neck of every black man in America. Without jokes and irony, Eminem shares this pain and calls for justice:

Prayers to George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery
How the fuck is it that so many cops are dirty?
Stop, man, please, officer, I’m sorry
But I can’t breathe when I got you on top of me
Your goddamn knee’s on my carotid artery
